Hello! My name is Helinä Ahokas. I was born in Finland, where I grew up. In 1970 I moved to Sweden with my family. For years I worked hard, so there wasn´t much time or enery for my interests. But i allaways maintained my dream to do something more creative.. In 1990 there was a change in our lives as we left the bigcity life for living in Dalecarlia. I started out painting watercolors and weaving, at first some plain carpets but soon I started to more pictures. My art is mostly inspired by everyday events, there is a lot from home. but I do get a kick of what is going on in the world of today, and I try to recapture with my paintings. |
